End of Season Party – Saturday 11th April

Saturday 11th April sees London Nigerian’s final match of the season in Herts/Middlesex 1, an away fixture against London Welsh Amateurs. With both sides among the 4 teams battling for 2 league promotion spots, it promises to be a great game of rugby at a fantastic venue, Old Deer Park.

Please come and support us in the afternoon and then stick around for our end of season party at Revolution Richmond, next to the Thames. Hopefully it will be a promotion party too! Whatever your connection to the club – playa, ex-playa, WAG, supporter – if would be great to see as many people down as possible, especially away to a well supported club such as London Welsh.

The club has come through a very difficult period, both on and off the pitch, and whatever happens with regards to promotion, we want to celebrate this season of achievement as we continue to build for the future.

For more details, see the Facebook event. Please feel free to invite your friends and family and let’s make it a day and night to remember!

Christmas Social – Saturday 6th Dec

EAGLES TO PROVE THEY’RE NO XMAS TURKEYS
The rumour mill went into overdrive last night as reports were circulating that LNRFC agreed a deal in principle to hold their Christmas Dinner on Saturday 6 December after a big league win against Barnet Elizabethans (H). Playas’ agents have reportedly been contacted and informed they should cancel any other plans for their clients on that date.Half-back and karaoke enthusiast Olly Cox speaks exclusively today after claiming to see star loosehead and Technical Co-ordinator of Morale and Hydration; El Vorno leaving The Pilot, Chiswick in the early hours of Monday morning:
– OC: “Yeh I saw him”
– Editor: “Anything else?”
– OC: “No”
– Editor: “Thanks Coxy”.

Flanker, Matt Webb, was more enthusiastic: “The Pilot is almost perfectly on our route home from Harlington via the Picadilly line and then one stop on the District with some good old fashioned fresher chicken thrown in for good measure. That game has got some undeserved bad press recently but I’m bringing it back, it’s just misuderstood. It also means anyone who is injured can come to the game and dinner easily”

Joe Mac had this to say, “I’m no wheeler dealer, I’m a proper rugby man but I expect the dinner to be ~£30 for 2 courses and a few pints. I’d also like there to be a theme but Xmas jumpers is so 2010, let’s wear Christmas Themed Ties instead, we’re a classy bunch after all.” If reports are to be believed then Playas are advised to reply to edward.vaughan09@gmail.com to indicate they will be attending ASAP. Menus and exact prices appear to be the only sticking point to a deal being signed, sealed and delivered; but this is now expected to be a mere formality which will be communicated shortly according to inside source Olly Cox “Yeh”.

Social at Faaji – Saturday 22nd November

On Saturday 22nd November we are having a post-match social at the Nigerian restaurant Faaji on Finchley Road, North London.

Our match that day is away versus Old Millhillians (Headstone Lane, HA2 6NF), kick off 14:00.

It would be great to have some support from retired Playas and friends of the Club for the match, followed by the opportunity to meet and get to know some of the current squad at Faaji afterwards.

A day of watching rugby, having a few beers and eating some authentic Nigerian food – if that doesn’t tempt you…

Please do join us, and let us know if you are coming or get in touch with any other questions.

Hope to see you there!
